Week 4 Tips - Fantasy Premier League

Recession proof your Fantasy Premier League Team
As everything in this world has becoming a victim of the “recession” as if it were some kind of air borne disease infecting all that come in contact with it, why should your Fantasy Premier League Team be any different?
As gameweek 3 is just upon us and many of you are deciding what should you do to improve your team but as with everything don’t really have the money to spend well my friend here are a selection of low priced players who could produce some well deserved points for you.
As most people have already spent money on a decent keeper they are not willing to change there doesn’t seem to be much point in going through them so we’ll start with cheap defenders.
Defenders
Williamson (Newcastle) 4.1 - Seems to be a decent defender and with Newcastle sure to be in good form after their first win, that coupled with the fact that they play wolves at the weekend who seem to be struggling to score so far this season it could be expected that with a clean sheet a possibility that 6 points could be on the cards for him but he could also pop up with an assist of even a goal who knows.
Knight (Bolton) (4.5) - Guaranteed to play this week against Birmingham again a distinct possibility of a clean sheet and not know for picking up cards along the way thus could pick up a couple of points for you this week on a shoe string budget
Baptiste (Blackpool) (4.1) - Again as stated Blackpool sure to be on cloud nine and if a repeat performance is on the card Baptiste is sure to play a part in it, and again could give a valuable return for you modest investment.
Midfielders
Albrighton (Aston Villa) 4.7 - This young winger seems to be getting his game under the guidance of care taker manager Kevin Mac Donald, it would seem he has taken the chance at first team football with both hands and is showing signs of being a promising player, given villa’s shock defeat last week they will be keen to bounce back and if this is to be the case Albrighton is sure to figure in it. So it could be a fair assumption that your 4.7 million could get you a good return.
Davies (Fulham) 5.0 – With a trip to Blackpool on the cards this weekend it could go either way with Blackpool sure to be on a high and Fulham also in good form after their 2 all draw with Man Utd last week it could a good week for Davies and again a good potential return for your reasonably small investment.
Forwards
Harewood (Blackpool) 4.5 - If Blackpool have any hope of sustaining their good form he will be instrumental, not noted in the past for his goal scoring prowess, he is a work horse of a player and can very easily hold the ball up and turn provider. With their trip to Fulham this week he will need to be on form and well if form is anything to go by with 16 points so far this season  it could still be worth a gamble that he will rectify it this week at home.
Carroll (Newcastle) 5.2 - Well I wonder will too many people is quick to jump on the bandwagon after his performance last week. For me if you are looking to bring in a third striker to possibly play a 3-4-3 this week alongside your Drogba or a Rooney well then Carroll could be your man with an away trip to Wolves this week you would have to fancy that if Newcastle are on the ball then he is sure to grab a goal of even turn provider.
Elmander (Bolton) 5.5 - With Bolton playing at home against Birmingham this week I find it hard to imagine that it’s going to be a cracker of a game and it quite possible that one goal could win it but again Birmingham done exactly travel well and its very possible with the crowd at Reebok behind him he could pop up with a goal or two. With 17 points so far this seasons not a bad return for the price.
I feel the need to reiterate that with these forwards they are either for playing in a 3-4-3 formation or if you have spent the bulk of your cash on expensive midfielders and defenders and you are looking for a bargain up front.

Transfer Deadline Day – Important switches for Fantasy Football
Two interesting transfers have just been completed that Fantasy Premier League managers should be aware of.
Liverpool has bought Paul Koncheskey and Birmingham has bought Alexander Hleb! These players could make a big impact this season.

Best Assist on Week 3
Best assist of the week goes to Theo Walcott who created a goal.
